Nautical sunrise is when the sun is 12 degrees before the sun breaks over the horizon. The light flows up in the sky and the horizontal shafts of the new day's sun are only minutes away. Briefly the shadows darken the incoming waves. It is an ancient, endlessly repeated beautiful moment.
