Standing in the Last Rays of the Day

My iris bed was particularly beautiful this year. I was especially mesmerized at the end of the day, when a thin ray of sun would beam across the iris bed. My oil painting, "Standing in the Last Rays of the Day" is the product of many sketching sessions and moments watching the light change.
