"Wildflowers on Discovery Creek." Oil on reinforced gesso board. This is a view of a streamlet that feeds into Discovery Lake in San Marcos, California. In March this creek is alive with native Grasses and Flowers . The luxurious growth inspired me to paint this scene brimming with life! Impasto painting technique with thick brush strokes and spatula applications give the surface natural energy!
