Skipping Stones

This is a painting inspired by an adventure exploring along one of our local creeks. I was inspired by the figure of my wife, reaching into the water for a skipping stone, and the way the dappled light illuminated her and the creek around her. I loved the "triangle" of light that slashed its way across creek bed, figure and foliage, and this is my humble attempt to capture that effect in paint.
