This is a nocturnal painting of a view from a bridge of a cruise ship that takes dinner reservations. The sun had set behind the mountains in the distance giving off a beautiful glow backlighting the scene. City lights had come on on the bridges and the ship inviting the viewer to come along for the cruise.
