Jewel of the Sierras

Entirely created "en plein aire"...French for ON LOCATION, on the spot...NOT in the studio! About the only thing I do on any plein air painting, in the studio is SIGN IT and get it photographed and logged in!

I was more than likely, on my hands and knees...my 8x10 pochade would never hold a canvas this large...!!
I was very blessed to be in the right place, no only location, but also along with the painting, as the sun flashed it's last rays onto these high clouds! Yes, very blessed. O, and I guess also at my level of painting! Forgot about that one!!! LOL
