Garden of the Gods triptych

This triptych created in the Garden of the Gods park in Colorado Springs, CO is comprised of three 12x9" pastel drawings on black Canson pastel paper. I had no previous knowledge of the Garden of the Gods until I drove through it. I thought I'd drive through and continue of my journey west, but when I came across the location depicted in this piece, I knew I had found something special. I didn't set out to do a triptych, and I didn't bring enough water to make it through the session, but the inspiration I felt carried me through with nothing to spare.
