Azaleas

This setting had a strong impact on me the moment I saw it. I was struck by the the pattern of the azaleas and how they were complemented by the variation of the greens. I utilized a limited palette of a warm and cool color of each of the primaries, plus white in order to create a variation of vibrant greens. The painting was completed on location in one painting session.
