Oil painting from plein air resource enlarged and finished in the studio. Many of my friends enjoy kayaking and canoeing and I observed this kayaker paddling on the Blue River. The current was gentle and there was no noise as she glided along leaving little eddys of water in her wake from her paddle. The oil study was 8X10 and I drew with pastel a grid on my canvas to enlarge the scene.
