Midsummer's Evening Concert

The reference photo I took at this concert in my hometown revealed a dreamy quality with strong lights and darks . I immediately saw the painting that this could be. I paint with oils and watercolor but I knew that this subject was going to be done in my experimental style using watercolor and gouache to create the dream-like atmospheric effects I wanted presented in the painting.
